ZK rollups paired transaction compression with validity proofs
A ZK rollup submits compressed transaction data and a cryptographic proof that the state transition followed specified rules.
The approach aims to move execution off-chain while letting Ethereum verify succinct evidence, subject to the rollup’s data and contract design.
Validity proofs became a central branch of Ethereum’s scaling research.
Proof verification, data availability, upgrade controls and user exits all need evaluation; the proof is one layer of the system.
