BIP 327 specified MuSig2 multi-signatures
BIP 327 defines a multi-signature protocol that combines participant keys and signatures into a single Schnorr signature under specified assumptions.
Key aggregation can reduce on-chain footprint and make cooperative spending resemble a single-key spend, while moving coordination complexity off-chain.
The proposal builds on Schnorr and Taproot to expand multisignature design options.
Aggregation does not remove participant coordination or key-management risks; implementations must follow the protocol’s security requirements.
